  • Eligible area: All of Texas except Travis County

 

TSAHC Program - Grant

  • No first time home buyer qualifications
  • Home buyer education required
  • 1-4 units, condominiums and town homes
  • Income limit requirements:  
     - $61,440  - Home Sweet Texas
     - $88,320 - Texas Hero Program
  • Purchase Price Limit: $316,098
  • Eligible Area: State of Texas
  • Borrower requirements:
    - Low to moderate income (Home Sweet Texas)
    - Firefighters, Police, Teachers, Correctional Officers, Veterans (Texas Hero) 

 

Travis County HFC Program

  • 5% down payment assistance option
  • FHA/VA/USDA
  • No first time home buyer requirements
  • Home buyer education required for first time buyers
  • 1-4 Units, condominiums and town homes
  • Income limit requirements:
    - $107,520 - FHA/VA
    - $ 87,250 USDA
  • No purchase price limit
  • Eligible areas - Travis County only

 

TDHCA Program - Silent Second Lien

  • Down Payment Assistance Options:  4% and 5%

  • Must be a first time home buyer
  • Home buyer education required

  • Income  limit requirements: $76,800 to $88,320
  • Purchase price limit:

City of Austin Program: Forgivable Loan Program

  • Down Payment Assistance Options:
    • DPA - up to $14,999; forgiven after 5 years
    • Shared Equity - up to $40,000; forgiven after 10 years
                                                          Equity after 30 years
  • Must be first time home buyers
  • Home buyer education required
  • 1-4 units, condominiums and town homes
  • Income limit requirements: $43,050 to $61,450
  • Purchase price limit:  $216,000
  • Eligible are: City of Austin Full Purpose Jurisdiction

  • Up to $2000 per year in tax credit
