Georgetown

If you've never been to Georgetown's Cultural District, it's time to get out there and see what this exciting area has in store for you. This 40-block area has been designated a special arts zone by the Texas Commission on the Arts. It's one of 51 such districts across the state, and in our real estate agents' opinions, it's one of the best. Here are some of the attractions and events that make this area such a fundamental part of Georgetown's charm.

Historical Attractions

The Cultural District has a rich and storied past in addition to its vibrant present. Historical aficionados near our Georgetown homes for sale can enjoy lectures, exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations at the Williamson Museum, an institution founded in 1997 to preserve the history of this part of Central Texas. The museum's grounds include a striking statue of Robert McAlpin Williamson, also known as "Three-Legged Willie," due to the wooden leg he used as a mobility aid after contracting tuberculous arthritis.
